Psoriasis

The causes of psoriasis, although widely studied in different countries, are still not known to date. There is evidence of a hereditary predisposition to this disease, that it is based on a violation of the immune status – weakening the body’s defenses. It is argued that the disease causes the virus, but it is also not yet isolated. A significant role in the development of psoriasis is assigned to disorders of the central nervous and endocrine systems.

Insufficient knowledge of the exact cause of the disease, as well as the factors causing its exacerbation, and explains the difficulties encountered in the treatment of psoriasis.

Scientists and clinicians have come to the conclusion that not in all cases when psoriasis is diagnosed, active treatment must be carried out immediately. It is now clear that even early started therapy does not prevent further progression of this disease. And if a patient has single eruptions on the skin, the so-called duty plaques, then he is usually prescribed, as we say, gentle therapy: we recommend washing more often, lubricating the nodules and plaques with 1–2% salicylic ointment, solidol ointment, children’s cream, cream “ Special”.

Based on my personal experience, I believe that the plaques on duty, if they are few, generally do not need to be lubricated. And those patients who, not trusting the doctor, still, in order, as they think, “to seize the disease at the very beginning,” begin to intensively lubricate the skin rash, are very harmful to themselves. As a rule, after this, plaques and nodules spread to other parts of the body, the disease recurs and brings a lot of physical and moral suffering.

Such patients have to be hospitalized in the hospital. They are prescribed various drugs, including those that soothe the nervous system, and smear the affected skin with special ointments. At home, this treatment is difficult to carry out, as the ointment has an unpleasant odor, soiling clothes and linen.

A fundamentally new, effective method of treating psoriasis is photochemotherapy, or, as it is called, PUVA – therapy. Its essence is the effect on the body of the long-wave part of ultraviolet rays in combination with psoralen preparations. There are also contraindications to photochemotherapy. It is not prescribed to patients under the age of 18, the elderly, as well as those with a mild illness. PUVA is contraindicated in the treatment of patients with hypertensive, peptic ulcer, cancer, liver disease. PUVA – Therapin is administered by specialists in many cities of the country.

A few words about the sensational method of M. V. Golyuk protected by copyright evidence: patients often ask us about it. MV Golyuk suggests patients to take inside preparations from plants of the aralia family (extracts of aralia, eleutherococcus) and at the same time lubricate the lesions of the rash with an ointment containing fresh egg white, flower bee honey, celandine, medical grease and children’s cream. To prepare 100 grams of such an ointment, take 90–88.2 grams of grease, 5.5–6 grams of protein, 2–2.5 grams of honey, 1.5–2 grams of baby cream and 1–1.3 grams of celandine herb powder. all mix well. Method M, V. Golyuk can be applied in the treatment of psoriasis.

According to the testimony, the doctor prescribes ointment with naftapana, ichthyol, tar, as well as ointment psoriasin and antipsoriaticum. At the same time, the patient is treated with various drugs, including those with injections.

I draw your attention to the fact that the doctor selects the treatment method for each patient strictly individually. And I urge you not to be amateur and. without consulting the doctor, do not use at your own risk any medication, including ointments, otherwise you can hurt yourself.

You need to know that not all patients help sea bathing, sunbathing. In the south, it is recommended to rest only for those who have more rashes in winter. Such patients can swim in the river, lake, sunbathe, but, of course, not in the period of exacerbation.

If the rash on the skin is most pronounced in the spring and summer, then there can be no talk about rest in the south and sunbathing, it is better to take a vacation in winter. Patients with psoriasis are shown mud resorts, where there are sulphide, radon and low-mineralized waters. Sanatorium-resort treatment gives only a temporary improvement, prolonging remission.

Maintaining a good state of health throughout the year helps adherence to work and rest. We must try not to allow neuropsychic overloads, adhere to the protein-vitamin diet (vegetables, fruits, lactic acid products, cottage cheese, lean meat and fish, milk). It is necessary to limit carbohydrates (sugar, cakes, sweets, jam), animal fats (pork, lamb fat), especially during the period of exacerbation of the disease. Alcohol is excluded, as it sharply worsens the condition of the patient with psoriasis.
