First, let’s find out what is “Mikoz”? Mycosis, is a fungus of the foot.
. Surprisingly tenacious these pathogenic mushrooms! Not only resistant to high temperatures, up to 75-80 °, but even many disinfectants. Months and years they remain viable. And how easily they are transmitted from person to person: the usual contact with the sick person or the things he used is enough — shoes, stockings, bedding, a washcloth, a towel, scissors. Therefore, fungal diseases so often become family.

For a long time mushrooms retain their pathogenic properties in peeled flakes of skin and particles of destroyed nails. And it is especially good in a humid environment: in sewage, on wet mats, floor, floorings of baths, showers, pools.

Depending on the pathogen, fungi and athlete’s disease, clinical manifestations whose development mechanism is very similar, are distinguished from fungal diseases. Therefore, I believe that it will be more convenient to combine them here with a common term – mycoses.

Pathogens affect the skin and nail plate. Manifestations of their “activity” are varied. In some patients, the skin only slightly flakes and cracks appear in the interdigital septa. Others complain of extensive lesions and trunk skin. In the third, the nails are involved in the pathological process.

The success of treatment depends primarily on the timely visit to the doctor. It is always easier to stop the disease in the initial stages than to treat a chronic, chronic illness. But do you still for some reason want to delay a specialist visit? Well, then know: untreated mycoses can last for years and decades. Periods of exacerbations are especially difficult when rashes appear on the skin in the form of reddish spots or small bubbles, large erosion occurs, weeping begins, the patient is relieved by itching. On the skin, large foci acquire the outlines of a red-bluish color, resembling a geographical map. The nail plate thickens, becomes dull and dull, crumble.

Increased sweating of the feet, improperly chosen shoes and those associated diseases that reduce the overall resistance of the body contribute to the progression of the pathological process. Therefore, do everything that strengthens the defenses: more time in your free time in the fresh air, move more, do not neglect the hardening, dairy and vegetable foods rich in vitamins.

Wash your feet daily, preferably in the evening, with warm water and soap. From cold coarse skin, and it stimulates the development of the disease. After washing, powder your feet with the composition your doctor prescribes.

Strictly follow his advice. In some cases, a specialist prescribes ointments and explains how to make lotions from solutions of furatsilina, boric acid. Peel and cracked skin between the fingers, lubricate with solutions of brilliant green and 2% alcoholic solution of iodine or ointment, undecin, mycocetin. This should be done every evening.

During periods of exacerbation, the doctor may recommend taking 10% calcium chloride solution or calcium gluconate tablets. Specify how and for how long you should do it.

With common forms of mycosis can be recommended antifungal drugs inside. Remember that they should be taken only under the constant supervision of a specialist.

Try to wear cotton socks and stockings. Synthetic do not allow air, and the skin in them seems to rot, If you due to any considerations do not refuse kapron and elastic stockings and socks, change them daily. Do not forget to boil them with the same frequency for 5-10 minutes, and disinfect shoes with a 25% formalin solution. To do this, wipe the insole and the inner surface of the shoe with a cotton swab dipped in a solution and place the shoes or shoes in a plastic bag for two hours, tightly tied up. After this time, remove them and ventilate until the smell is completely gone.

Shoes fit strictly to size. From too close will be more broken nails and increased foci of erosion. Too spacious, dangling on the leg, will rub the damaged areas of the foot when walking. Take care of your feet especially in summer. After all, the feet sweat from the heat, swelling strongly. Keep this in mind when buying shoes.

An important role in the fight against mycosis is prevention. If you are going to the bath, pool, shower, be sure to take rubber slippers. It is possible that a sick person passed over the floor or rugs. Therefore, protect yourself as much as possible. After visiting these places, be sure to wash your feet with running water and wipe dry with a towel.

Do not use porous bedding and rugs in bathrooms at home. They are difficult to wash and become a convenient “home” for disease-causing fungi. It is better to lay pieces of thick rubber.

Home slippers, however, like the rest of the shoes, everyone should have their own. As well as personal hygiene items – towels, cleansers, sponge, manicure device.

Remember that the success of treatment and prevention of mycoses depends not only on the nature of medical prescriptions and recommendations, but also on how carefully you follow them.

Slippers, like all shoes, and personal hygiene items, should each have their own
